David Beckham will miss the Spice Girls first gig on Sunday night because Posh doesn’t want him there. Becks said: “One minute Victoria is saying she wants me there and then it’s ‘No, don’t come to the first show, as we’ll all be too nervous’.’’ The first concert of the girls tour is in Vancouver, Canada.
Becks, 32, said: “I think I’ll be at the show a couple of days later in San Jose and have the boys with me. And I know Victoria will ring me as soon as the first show ends.”
The LA Galaxy star would have struggled to make the opening show anyway — he faced a 16-hour flight from New Zealand where his American club are on an exhibition tour. The former England captain is sure to be going to quite a few of the Spice shows.
